Pituitary Tumors

Pituitary tumors are tumors that are found on the pituitary gland. While they are generally benign, they can cause other negative effects since the pituitary gland controls a wide number of hormones. A pituitary tumor can change the secretion of several essential hormones which may cause depression, emotional instability, severe weight gain, fatigue, dehydration or many other symptoms. North Jersey Brain and Spine Center is a rehabilitation and physical therapy center that is located centrally in Bergen County.

Our physicians are qualified to help anyone suffering from a pituitary tumor. We have a large facility filled with all of the latest audio and video equipment. We have access to four local area hospitals for when surgery is necessary.

Pituitary tumors are generally treated with drugs that alleviate symptoms and reduce the size of the tumor. If the tumor is too large for drugs, surgery or radiation therapy may be required.

It is necessary to treat these tumors to correctly balance hormones and to make sure that the tumpr can not become life-threatening. If you are suffering from a pituitary tumor, call North Jersey Brain and Spine Center at 201-342-2550 to schedule an appointment.
